What to expect
Your appointment includes medical history, photographs and assessment at rest and in motion. Your clinician identifies the exact filler and intended area before consent. If treatment proceeds, the skin is cleansed and filler is placed with a needle or cannula. A staged approach may be recommended so the face can be reassessed after swelling settles.
Downtime and results
Swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, itching, firmness or temporary asymmetry can last days to weeks. Lumps, nodules, infection, delayed inflammation, migration and other reactions may occur later. Duration depends on the exact product, area, amount, tissue and metabolism.
Treatment candidacy
Filler may be considered for adults seeking measured support, contour or fullness who are medically suitable and comfortable with both common reactions and uncommon serious risks. Your clinician reviews allergies, bleeding or immune conditions, prior filler or implants, dental work or infection, recent illness or vaccination, medicines and supplements, pregnancy or breastfeeding and severe-scarring history. Treatment is deferred for active infection or inflammation near the planned area.

How is filler different from a neuromodulator?
Filler adds or supports volume beneath the skin. Neuromodulators temporarily reduce selected muscle activity. They are different product categories with different benefits and risks.
Which areas can be treated?
That depends on the exact product, your anatomy and your goals. Your clinician will identify the proposed product and treatment area before consent.
Can filler be dissolved?
Some hyaluronic-acid fillers may be reduced with an enzyme, but reversal is not guaranteed, can take more than one treatment and carries its own risks. Other filler materials can be difficult or impossible to remove without a procedure or surgery.
Which symptoms are an emergency?
Unintended injection into a blood vessel is uncommon but can cause tissue death, vision loss or stroke. Seek immediate help for unusual or escalating pain, vision change, white/gray/blue skin, facial drooping, sudden weakness or numbness, trouble speaking or walking, severe headache, dizziness or confusion.
